Monitoring Your Position
Once a trade is open, it appears in the Positions Table.
Key Metrics
- Entry Price: The average price at which your position was opened.
- Mark Price: The current market price used for PnL and Liquidation calculations.
- C. Value: Current Value. (Size +/- PnL).
- Liq. Price: The price at which you will be liquidated.
- uPnL: Unrealized Profit and Loss.
PnL Calculation
Lemon Markets calculates PnL based on the price movement relative to your entry:
- Long PnL:
(Mark Price - Entry Price) * Position Size
- Short PnL:
(Entry Price - Mark Price) * Position Size
Funding Fees
To keep the perpetual price tethered to the spot price, Lemon Markets uses a Funding Rate.
- If Funding is Positive: Longs pay Shorts.
- If Funding is Negative: Shorts pay Longs.
- Funding fees are settled periodically from your margin.
Maintenance Margin
You must maintain a minimum amount of collateral to keep your position open. If your margin falls below the Maintenance Margin (usually 1% of position size), your position will be liquidated.
